MARGIE’S CANDIES

I’ve been wanting to try this ice cream spot for a while now, and a hot, humid holiday seemed like the perfect occasion. The exterior and interior evoke a classic 1920s ice cream parlor vibe. As you step inside, you’re greeted by a counter where you can order and pay, surrounded by a tempting array of what looks like homemade chocolates, pies, and other sweets. Towards the back, there are a few old round booths, each with a tiny jukebox at the end of the table. It feels like stepping back in time—absolutely charming!

The ice cream was fantastic. I had the Turtle Sundae with one scoop of vanilla and one of butter pecan, while my friend ordered the Swiss Milk Chocolate Sundae. Both were served with chocolate sauce in a silver gravy boat, perfect for drizzling over our sundaes. If you haven’t visited yet, I highly recommend it. What a classic experience! I’ll definitely be back!!
