HAPPY CAMPER

Sports Bar – Old Town.

Flavor Scale (1-5): 3.4

If you love pizza, drinks, and a lively atmosphere, Happy Camper might be the spot for you. This sports bar, which shares a similar concept with Paradise Park, has locations in Old Town and Wrigleyville, offering a fun place to hang out, watch games, and enjoy good food. Happy Camper’s large, open space is perfect for socializing. With throwback music playing and a casual, fun vibe, it’s an ideal place to unwind with friends or catch a game. The atmosphere is upbeat and inviting, making it a popular spot.

The restaurant serves typical sports bar food, but they have a large focus on pizza. We tried the Large Tony (Prosciutto) Pizza, loaded with prosciutto, spinach, caramelized onion, sun-dried tomato, balsamic, goat cheese, and cream cheese. It was good, but it was a bit heavy on the goat cheese for our taste. If you love goat cheese, this pizza will be right up your alley. My friend also ordered a mimosa, but she didn’t think it was very good. However, there are plenty of other drinks to choose from, so you’ll probably find something you like.

Overall, Happy Camper is a good casual spot for pizza and drinks. The atmosphere is lively and fun and the food is decent — with a standout pizza menu that offers plenty of options. I personally don’t think I’ll be back (at least for the pizza) but if you’re in Old Town or Wrigleyville, give Happy Camper a try!
