Without a doubt, Del Seoul is one of my favorite spots! It’s a laid-back eatery ideal for casual hangs, offering a variety of boldly flavored dishes spanning from Korean tacos to Korean Banh Mi sandwiches. In the past, I’ve tried their tacos (sesame-chili shrimp, kalbi, and fish tacos), K-town chicken wings, and the bulgogi banh mi sandwich. I highly recommend all of them! I can’t get over how much flavor each dish has and how they spice up popular street foods.
This time around, I ordered the sesame-chili shrimp banh mi sandwich featuring hand-battered panko shrimp, sesame-chili aioli, and Bahn Mi veggies. The sandwich filling was similar to the sesame-chili shrimp taco so absolutely no complaints there. My only issue was the hard bread which made it hard to fully enjoy the sandwich. I eventually gave up on the bread and ate everything with a fork and knife. For this, I unfortunately have to deduct a few points.
My friend ordered the spicy tofu hotpot (Hotpot with beef, mussels, clams, shrimp, oysters, silken tofu, egg, onion, zucchini in a spicy chili broth) which was served with a side of white rice and kimchi. I’ve never had Hot Pot but it looked GOOD. The pot literally came out still boiling. It was also a large amount of food leaving my friend feeling very satisfied after the meal loll.
Also, I honestly wish I had ordered one of their bento boxes. We were too hungry to wait the extra 12-15 minutes but from what we saw at the neighboring tables, it would have been worth the wait. The smell was amazing and you could hear the sizzling of the meat as it was being served.
All that to say, I love this place and would recommend to anyone and everyone. Everything tastes amazing and you already know I’ll be going back — especially to get my hands on one of those bento boxes!
